- Sculpture Art Week
Sculpture Art Week
As we enter the third dimension of art, we explore three different artists specific styles and medium choices. From Noguchi's feather weight paper akari light lamps to Yayoi Kusama's unique artistic process and phases including her soft sculptures to Christo and Jeanne Claude's elongated materials wrapped around existing objects, buildings, walkways, bridges and islands...We observe the mood captured and begin to discuss our own interpretations we might take as we study each concept. Miniature exercises are made throughout the week, leading up to building our final sculpture combining and expanding each idea as per student feels most moved by.
